Take orders (POS)

The POS is where you ring up sales — dine-in, takeaway, or delivery. It’s built to be fast on a phone or tablet.

Open a table (dine-in)

  1. On the POS floor, tap a table to seat it. A table only starts its timer once you add the first item — closed tables stay clear.
  2. The selected table’s details show in a fixed panel: what’s ordered, the status of each item, and the running total.
  3. For takeaway or delivery, start a new order of that type instead of picking a table.

Add items to an order

  1. Tap Add items to open your menu, then tap dishes to add them to the table.
  2. Adjust quantities right in the panel. New, un-sent items are marked so you know what hasn’t gone to the kitchen yet.

Send to the kitchen

When the guest has ordered, tap Send to kitchen. Only the newly-added items are fired — the kitchen screen and any printer get exactly that batch, marked as new. Add more later and send again; each round is tracked separately.

Prefer paper? A kitchen ticket can print automatically each time you send. Set it up in Kitchen display.

Take payment

  1. Tap Pay and choose how the guest is paying — cash, PromptPay, or card.
  2. For cash, enter the amount received and FoodFlow shows the change. For PromptPay, a QR is shown to scan.
  3. You can split a bill across more than one payment method.
  4. On payment, the table clears and a receipt is available to print or show.

Full-screen mode

Tap the full-screen button in the top bar to hide the browser chrome — handy on a dedicated POS tablet.
